MCS Robotics would like to wish all our Robotics Moms a Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you all for all the early morning drop offs, the snack drops, the trips to states/worlds. Thank you all for all the little stuff you do that goes unnoticed and sometimes unthanked, we see you and appreciate you!

A special shoutout to one of our favorite moms. The Mom of MCS Robotics, Mrs. Klemm! She literally does so much behind the scenes to make sure every single team has what they need, from POs to Tourney Registrations. From grading notebooks, from running trainings for our kids and coaches. We see you Mrs. Klemm! These programs would be lost without you!

🤖🌎What a week on the WORLD stage 🌎🤖

Marshall County Robotics is beyond proud to celebrate our incredible Robotics teams who traveled to St. Louis to compete at the VEX Robotics World Championship going head-to-head with 580+ teams from across the globe.

Taking six teams from two middle schools to this level of competition is no small feat, and they rose to the occasion. Three of our teams finished with non-losing records, and one team fought their way to an impressive 33rd overall 26003A from SMS just shy of the elimination bracket in their division. That’s competing with the best of the best in the world.

And then… they made history.

🏆 Team 26003A – Lil’ George brought the energy and walked away with the Energy Award, recognizing their unmatched enthusiasm, spirit, and ability to lift up everyone around them throughout the event.

🏆 Team 26003B – The Cinnamon Toast Crunchers earned the prestigious Innovate Award, honoring their creative engineering and unique design solution that stood out on the world stage. This is believed to be the highest-level award ever brought home to West Virginia at the middle school level an incredible milestone.

From long days to high-pressure matches, these students showed resilience, creativity, and true sportsmanship every step of the way. Competing at this level is an achievement. Bringing home awards? That’s something special.

Join us in congratulating these outstanding teams and celebrating everything they’ve accomplished. The future of robotics is bright—and it’s being built right here. 🔧✨
