We’re celebrating , part of NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child! When people come together to make music for a shared purpose, they can experience feelings of togetherness and cohesion. Their heartrates even sync up! When you manage to get up and out the door with your child every week to sing and dance in your Music Together® class, you become a part of a musical community. Because music is accessible and enjoyable for young children, they are likely to repeat songs they like over and over (and over), especially when the grownups they love sing with them. This repetition and engagement exercises important neural pathways, making them stronger and supporting the development of a sturdy brain foundation. And all you have to do is sing!

“The Sing With Us study…is part of a growing body of research that points to the physical and mental health benefits of singing with others. Sing With Us linked singing in the choir to reduced stress hormones and increased cytokines, proteins that can boost the body’s ability to fight serious illness.” More research on what we’ve always known: music shared with others helps heal body and soul! https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/06/25/singing-with-others-mental-physical-health/

Teacher Heidi’s children take piano lessons here and love it! 🎼 🎹

Hi neighbors!
Thinking about piano lessons for your kid this summer?

We’ve got a few openings at Farmhouse Music Studio, and we’d love to welcome a few new faces — ages 7 to 100.

If you've ever seen your child tap out a rhythm on the kitchen table, or hum a tune they made up on the spot… that’s the spark we love to work with. Piano lessons aren’t just about notes and finger positions — they light up the brain, build confidence, and give kids a way to create with others, not just for others.

And honestly? The kids love it. They laugh, they play, they make real music — together.

If this sounds like something your child would enjoy, go to our website to book your free introductory lesson. It’s low-key, high-fun, and totally beginner-friendly.

You'll be glad you did.
