4th graders in Mrs. McCant’s class experimented with hand washing and germs! Students used Glo Germ and a UV light to observe how germs can remain on their hands after washing. They first examined their hands before washing, then washed with soap and water, and observed their hands again. Students compared their observations and identified areas that are often missed, such as between the fingers, thumbs, and fingertips. Students enjoyed this experiment and learned a lot about hand washing and germs! 🔦🖐️
