RBW 5th grade Discovery group spent the day at Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve in Eastpoint, Fl. We had the opportunity to learn how our ecosystems are connected. Library orientation is in full swing, and our students are getting ready for a year filled with books, discovery, imagination, and learning! ❤

Our students are learning that the media center is more than a place to check out books—it’s a place to wonder, explore, learn, and discover stories that make us laugh, think, dream, and grow. ✨

From picture books to chapter books, every story has the power to take us somewhere new, introduce us to new ideas, build our vocabulary, strengthen our understanding of the world, and spark our imaginations. 🌎💭

We are so excited to help every student find books they love and stories that inspire them! Here’s to a wonderful year of turning pages, discovering new favorites, and growing a love of reading! ❤📚

Meet the Support Staff

*Stacey Gay - went to R.B. Wright as a child and has been teaching at RBW since 1999, I love to go to the beach, go fishing, and ride the boat.

*Elizabeth Ann Barber - Loves to draw, paint and spend time with her family. She is excited to teach at R.B. Wright where she went to school as a child!

*Christa Bledsoe - I have been teaching at RBW for 32 years! I spent my summer reading, being active, visiting my three grandchildren, and going to the beach!

*Marisa Taylor - I am so excited about this school year! This summer I enjoyed spending time with my family. We did a lot of baking, reading, and swimming in the river.

*Sheila Cook - went to school at Norman Park Elementary as a child but loves working at RBW. This will be her 35th year in education. She enjoys spending time in the mountains, hummingbirds, and watching movies.

*Ivie Gregory - loves seeing students get excited about learning at RBW! Her summer highlight was having three of her boys home from college at the same time and enjoying some sweet family time together!

*Sophie Griner- I have been teaching at RBW for 36 years! I had 2 granddaughters born this summer 10 days apart.

Our team mission this year is to make this the most creative, encouraging, and memorable year yet! We are so excited about this year!
