As we begin another school year, we’re proud to celebrate the significant academic gains our students made on the 2025–2026 Georgia Milestones assessments, but even more than the numbers, we’re proud of the students behind them. 👏🎉

Our students showed gains on 12 of 13 assessments, with 11 of 13 subject areas outperforming regional benchmarks and 9 out of 13 surpassing state averages. Some of the strongest growth came in 8th-grade Georgia History, which increased by 19 points, with additional gains across 4th–6th grade math, 8th-grade science and math, and high school algebra and biology.

Every day, we have the privilege of teaching, encouraging, challenging, and helping our students reach their potential. Help us give a huge round of applause to our students and staff for setting the bar so high! 🌟

We’re thankful for our newest employees and grateful that you chose to be part of our school district family! We’re excited for the year ahead and all the ways you’ll make a difference in the lives of our students.

As Mr. Chappuis shared during Convocation:
“Whether you serve students in the classroom, drive a bus, prepare meals, maintain our facilities, support technology, work in an office, or serve in any other role, you are changing lives every single day.”

To our new transportation team members, paraprofessionals, certified and classified employees, school nutrition staff, and everyone joining us in a new role, thank you for choosing us. We’re looking forward to a great year together!

We believe in Excellence for every ONE and EVERYONE, and that means keeping our students safe. 🌟

It’s the perfect time to protect your child at a low cost rate. Through the District’s student accident insurance program, you can cover your student during the school day for the entire school year for only $14 a year. For $89 a year, that coverage extends to all days for an entire year. You can also choose to add extended dental coverage for $8 a year.

If your child doesn’t have a family medical plan or other coverage, this is an easy, budget-friendly way to make sure they’re protected. Don’t miss the chance for an affordable peace of mind!

To sign up for supplemental accident insurance, you can purchase at this link - https://www.sas-mn.com/k12/enrollment/1037161 or call 1-800-328-2739.
