🐝💛 Celebrating our youngest Stingers during Pre-K Week!

This week is all about joyful experiences that help our Pre-K students learn, connect, and make special memories with their classmates and teachers!

Monday’s breakfast brought extra smiles with Mrs. Jimmerson dressed as the Chick-fil-A cow, serving breakfast to students and teachers. It was one of the fun moments making this week special! 🐄🎉

Thank you to our wonderful Pre-K teachers for the care and creativity they bring to our classrooms, and to Mrs. Jimmerson for helping organize the week and working alongside our teachers to support these experiences.

We love seeing our youngest learners celebrated and excited about school! 🖤💛

🏅🐝 CELEBRATING TWO SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS AT STRINGFELLOW! 💛🖤

Yesterday, our faculty meeting was filled with celebration as we honored Mrs. Baggett as our ONE Medal recipient and Mrs. Walker as our Teach Like a Packer recipient! 🌟

🏅 Mrs. Baggett — ONE for Everyone

Courtney French proudly passed the ONE Medal to Mrs. Baggett in recognition of the kindness, care, and dedication she brings to our students, teachers, and staff each day.

Mrs. Baggett consistently goes above and beyond to support our entire school community. Whether she is helping students, supporting teachers, assisting staff, or solving problems behind the scenes, she serves with a heart full of kindness and a commitment to making Stringfellow a better place.

She may not always seek the spotlight, but her impact speaks volumes. Her willingness to listen, help, encourage, and serve makes a difference throughout our school.

As Courtney shared:

And you are truly one of a kind.”

We also presented Mrs. Baggett with an Instructional Coaches Day gift to recognize and thank her for the important role she plays in supporting teacher growth and student learning. 💐

🌟 Pre-K Week has been full of excitement, and today was no exception! 🌟

Today was exciting from start to finish! Our “Serenade” high school boys and girls stopped by to brighten our day with a couple of beautiful songs. 🎶❤️

To make the visit even more special, one of the Serenaders read Every Amazing Song to both of our Pre-K classes. 📚✨ Our students loved having the opportunity to listen to a story and enjoy some special time with our high school visitors!

But the fun didn’t stop there! We were excited to welcome Mrs. Christina from the Butler-Mason YMCA in Thomasville, who came to talk with our Pre-K students about all the wonderful opportunities the YMCA has to offer, both through childcare and throughout their facility. 🏊‍♀️🏀🎨

Mrs. Christina also shared the inspiring story Stand Tall, Mary Lou Melon, a book that reminds children of the importance of being yourself, embracing what makes you unique, and standing tall with confidence. 🌈💛

What a wonderful day of music, literacy, learning, and fun! We are so thankful to everyone who helped make today special for our Pre-K students! 🐝💛🖤

October is packed with exciting activities, important dates, spirit days, and family events! Please review the full schedule below and save these dates. ❤️💛

📅 IMPORTANT OCTOBER DATES

• Oct. 1: Kona Ice
• Oct. 5–9: Pre-K Week
• Oct. 9: Water Slide Day for eligible students
• Oct. 13: End of 1st Quarter / Report Cards Go Home
• Oct. 16: Hat Day ($1), Picture Makeups, and PTO Barbecue Plate Sale
• Oct. 21: Fall Festival, 5–7 p.m. — Activity punch cards are $5 each
• Oct. 23–26: Fall Break — No School
• Oct. 27–30: Red Ribbon Week
• Oct. 30: Student Clubs Meet / PBIS Event

🎃 OCTOBER PERFECT ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE
Students who attend every school day from October 5–30 can earn a special mystery reward! Fall Break is excluded.

🌊 WATER SLIDE DAY — OCTOBER 9
This special event is for students whose families attended our first Parent/Family Night. Eligible students will receive information about what to bring and wear.

Come support our students and enjoy a great meal!

🍁 FALL FESTIVAL — OCTOBER 21
5–7 p.m.
Activity punch cards are $5 each. Each card covers a set number of activities, and families may purchase multiple cards.

📚 PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Conferences will be held throughout October. Please make plans to meet with your child's teacher by October 22.

🥧 PIES FOR A PURPOSE! 🥧

Coach Martin, Mr. Knighton, Mr. Townsend, Mr. Ward, and Mr. Foster were willing to take a pie in the face—all in the name of supporting our United Way fundraiser! 😂🥧

There were plenty of laughs, a little whipped-cream chaos, and some unforgettable moments, but the real win was knowing that our students got to see the power of giving back and making a difference in our community. ❤️💛

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this fundraiser a success! Our Sting-er Bee family knows how to have fun while supporting a great cause! 🐝

🐝📚 Pre-K Week is in Full Swing at Stringfellow Elementary! 📚🐝

Our Pre-K students have been having an AMAZING time learning, exploring, and celebrating all week long! 💛🖤

🎃 Ms. Ashley’s class had a wonderful time learning about the different parts of a pumpkin and even enjoyed a fun pumpkin race! They also received their special Pre-K Week book, Every Amazing Song by Coy and Malcolm. 📖🎶 Our students are pictured singing and doing the song as they receive their books!

📚 Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Ashley’s classes had the pleasure of listening to our very own Assistant Principal, Mrs. Jimmerson, read Llama Llama Learns to Share. The students loved the story and enjoyed this special reading experience!

🔎🐝 Mrs. Amanda’s class also went on a “Buzz Walk” around our school! With binoculars in hand, our little explorers searched the hallways for artwork, door decorations, writing samples, and other exciting displays. They even ventured upstairs to see where the “big kids” learn! 👀🎨📝

What a wonderful way to celebrate Pre-K Week—through books, music, hands-on learning, exploration, and lots of FUN! 🌟

On October 2, Stringfellow celebrated Custodian Appreciation Day with a small gift and a heartfelt thank-you to Ms. Darlene, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Sheila, and Ms. Regina!

Every day, their hard work helps keep our school clean, safe, and ready for students to learn. Their care for our building is also care for the people inside it.

Ms. Darlene, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Sheila, and Ms. Regina—we see your hard work, and we value you. Thank you for all you do for our students, staff, and families. You are an essential part of our Hive!

🦷✨ Big Smiles in Pre-K! ✨🦷

Today, Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Ashley’s classes had a special visit from Smile Doctors! 🪥😁

Mr. M.J. stopped by to teach our students all about the importance of taking care of their teeth and keeping those precious baby teeth healthy. He shared helpful tips about brushing our teeth, keeping our smiles clean, and why visiting the dentist is so important. 🦷💛

📚 Mr. M.J. also read the fun book How to Catch a Tooth Fairy, which gave our students a chance to use their imaginations! After the story, students shared their creative ideas about how they would catch the Tooth Fairy. 🧚‍♀️🦷✨

We are so thankful to Mr. M.J. and Smile Doctors for spending time with our students and helping them learn more about what dentists do and how they can take care of their smiles!

Thank you for helping our little Stinger Bees learn that healthy habits start with a healthy smile! 🐝💛🖤

Our students have been BUZZING with excitement during our Reflex Green Light Challenge — The Battle of the Bees!

Students worked hard to build their math fact fluency by practicing in Reflex and earning as many GREEN LIGHTS as possible. 💚 Every green light represented focus, determination, and progress toward becoming stronger, more confident mathematicians!
