We are extremely proud of this young man and the way he represents his school, his team, and LCCTC. He is a leader both on and off the field, demonstrating character, work ethic, and the commitment to excellence that we want to see in all our students.

Success in CTE is about more than developing technical skills - it is also about developing leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and the skills needed to succeed in the workforce and in life.

Students from the Lawrence County Career Technical Center had an outstanding opportunity to attend the 2026 Academy for Chapter Excellence (ACE) in Florence!

ACE brought Career & Technical Student Organization leaders together from across Alabama for a day focused on leadership, professionalism, teamwork, networking, goal setting, and preparing students to lead their local CTSO chapters.

We are proud of our LCCTC students for representing Lawrence County Schools and continuing to develop the leadership skills that will help them succeed in their schools, organizations, communities, and future careers.

A special thank you to our LCCTC teachers and advisors who invest in our students and provide opportunities like ACE that extend learning beyond the classroom.

Congratulations to Lawrence County’s very own Austin Blankenship on being named the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Excellence in Agriculture Contest Winner!

As the contest winner, Austin received an amazing prize package that includes a ZERO-TURN MOWER! He will compete and represent Alabama in January in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is an incredible accomplishment and a tremendous honor! Austin’s hard work, dedication, leadership, and commitment to agriculture have earned him this well-deserved recognition. We are extremely proud to see one of our own representing Lawrence County at the highest level!
