Lawrence County Career Technical Center Salon and Spa

LCCTC Salon and Spa students held nothing back today at the Northwest Shoals Community College Skills Competition. We would like to recognize the following students, who medaled in their competitions: Kathryn Dutton(LCHS)-2nd Place Barbering, Kiersten Nolen (LCHS)-3rd Place Fantasy Makeup, Addyson Hitt (HHS)-2nd Place Job Interview, and Lexie Knight (LCHS)-2nd Place Fantasy Makeup.

All of our students not only had strong technical skills, but were well mannered and an excellent representation of Lawrence County Career Technical Center and Lawrence County Schools.

Today our SkillsUSA Presidents, Kathryn Dutton and Addyson Hitt, Treasurer, Symone Kingston, and Reporter, Emma West, attended the ACE (Academy for Chapter Excellence) event at the Marriott in Florence, where they focused on developing their leadership skills, networking, chapter activities and representing our program with excellence.
It was great to see students from across Alabama representing different CTSOs with pride and professionalism!

LCCTC Employee of the Month for November

Congratulations to Evie Calhoun on being selected as the Lawrence County Career Tech Center "Employee of the Month” for November. Evie is a member of Mrs. Bennett’s Cosmetology program and a senior at Lawrence County High School. Evie has completed six courses in the cosmetology program and is currently enrolled in Spa Techniques.

Evie Calhoun is a senior from Lawrence County High School.

Evie is President of our SkillsUSA chapter. She exhibits leadership skills and organization that allows her to serve our class with excellence. She is willing to do anything in order to help our program be successful including setting up chairs, taking out garbage, and dressing up as a Disney Princess.
