Join us on Skool and get 2 teachers plus a whole new system for learning for cheaper than lessons! We do a different kind of approach towards lessons. I am a 2nd generation professional guitarist and I started playing live shows when I was a kid and have been playing for as long as I can remember. I have toured extensively all over the country for many years and have worked with some Major artist
s and bands both live and in the studio where I have done sessions in some of the top studios out there. I have been teaching all skill levels since 1995 when I was a student at The Atlanta Institute of Music. While Attending Aim I not only met and learned from the Legendary Jimmy Herring as he was one of the professors there but also was fortunate to have worked with and learn from guitar greats Barry Richman, Nite Driskoll, Steve Freeman, Bill Hart, Sid Wolf, Carl Culpepper, and this is also where I met Shawn Lane even though we where both from Memphis I met him in College. I later went on to become Shawn's guitar tech and student and friend of many years until he passed away in 2003. I have shared the stage with or appeared on the same Bill as many legends including of course Shawn Lane, Jimmy Herring, Barry Richman, Buddy Church, Ben Cauley, Eddie Smith, Cowboy Eddie Long, Zac Brown, Travis Tritt, Little Texas, Willie Nelson, Black Oak Arkansas, Allman Brothers Band, Col Bruce Hampton and The Aquarium Rescue Unit, Melissa Ethridge, Jonas Helborg, Jeff Sipe, Zac Myers of Shinedown, Govt Mule, The Barkays, Brett Michaels, Gretchen Wilson, David Allen Coe, Bucket Head, Eric Gales, the list goes on and on with over 26 years of playing live and doing session work. I will show you how the top players in the world utilize the most advanced techniques on the planet to be able to physically play absolutely anything you could think of or put in front of you and a practical way of using music theory to where it is laid out on your instrument, the guitar and not some dudes chalkboard. If I find a more feasible approach towards a technique, teaching philosophy, practical application or anything for that matter I adopt it immediately and update all of my students as well. Most teachers are limited by their own skill levels and teach in a walk in closet sized room and they tell you to bring in recording of a song you like so they can figure it out for you or they spend half the lesson writing out what you will be going over. My favorite are the ones who tell you they have taught you everything they can, well then why are you even teaching if you are not the infinite student? Always be the student, always be humble, and always have an open mind and you can only be better than yourself and no one else. I give you the tools you need so you can learn that song yourself and on top of that we use modern day technology as our friend. I now have two very large screen TV's laid out side to side so the lesson is literally right in front of you. I email the lessons to you and we use a really cool app that allows you to not only view the material but also play along with it, in fact you can even slow it down or you could make it slow down to half speed or a quarter speed and repeat and each time or two it repeats it will raise the tempo by 5% or 10% or whatever you want! Also many of the songs on this app which there are a couple hundred thousand of them have backing tracks with a full band so you can actually play with the band while learning the song. My studio is also a state of the art recording studio and we always have the option to not only record audio but also video. With that said I do offer remote lessons as well via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or whatever works for you. I am outside of Hebron OH, 3 miles off of I-70 exit 126 and am conveniently located between Pataskala, Hebron, Heath, Newark, Buckeye Lake, Millersport, Thornville, Granville, and am still 30 minutes outside of Columbus, 20 minutes from New Albany and Johnstown, and 25 minutes from Lancaster. My studio is a separate building on my property back in the woods in a nice peaceful setting and if you ever want to schedule a time to come out early or stay late and safely pop off a few rounds you can do that too on my private range!
