Tiger Nation, it’s almost parade time!

Applications for the 2026 Moss Point High School Homecoming Parade are now open!

The parade will roll Thursday, September 17, 2026, starting at 5:00PM. Parade line-up will begin at 3:30PM. This year’s parade theme is "Rumble in the Jungle!"

We want YOU to join the lineup and show off your Tiger spirit!

Parade entry forms must be submitted to Mrs. Dailey at MPHS by Friday, September 4, 2026 at 3:00pm. Applications are available on www.mpsdnow.org, or can be picked up at Moss Point High School.

Let’s fill the streets with Tiger pride and make this year’s parade one to remember!

Yesterday, our MMS Tigers competed in their first cross country meet of the season in Pass Christian!

Our runners did an amazing job and came away with a lot of PRs this early in the season! We are so proud of all their hard work and can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.

🌟Friday Spotlight: Ms. Courtney Goldsmith’s 7th Grade Math Class📚

After an eventful day on campus — and with common assessments successfully completed — it was refreshing to step into Ms. Courtney Goldsmith’s classroom and experience such a positive, academically focused learning environment.

As she reviewed the assessment with her students, it was clear they were prepared, engaged, and eager to participate. Scholars confidently explained their thinking, shared misunderstandings, and demonstrated a willingness to grow, a hallmark of a strong classroom culture.

One of the most notable strengths in Ms. Goldsmith’s instruction is her emphasis on the process of solving, not just arriving at the correct answer. This approach encourages deeper understanding, builds student confidence, and reinforces the importance of mathematical reasoning.

Moments like these remind us why teaching and learning at Magnolia continue to flourish — dedicated educators, empowered students, and a shared commitment to excellence.

🐯🌟Beautiful Evening of Partnership at Magnolia Middle School🌟🐯

Last evening, our Magnolia Middle School family came together for our Annual Open House & Title I Collaborative Parent Meeting, and what a success it was. The energy, engagement, and shared commitment to our scholars made the evening unforgettable.

From the heartfelt welcome by Student Leader J’Mya McGhee, to Principal Derrick Caples’ introduction of the Principals Advisory Council and his inspiring overview of our school goals, the night set a powerful tone for the year ahead. Assistant Principal Bridgett Parker highlighted our dedicated 2026–2027 Staffulty, reminding us of the incredible team standing behind every student. Assistant Principal Angela Campbell then led a meaningful Title I Informational Presentation, offering clarity, connection, and opportunities for continued family engagement. We closed the evening with food, fellowship, and community, celebrating the partnership that strengthens our school.

Thank you to every parent, guardian, student, staff member, and community partner who made this night special. Magnolia Middle School continues to thrive because we do this work together.

Here’s to a phenomenal 2026–2027 school year.
