Sam Houston is participating in DeWanna’s Closet’s new Beyond the Backpack initiative!

For September, we’re collecting:
🪥 Toothbrushes
🦷 Toothpaste
✨ Dental floss

Donations can be dropped off at the SHHS front office or sent with your Bronco to the Library throughout September and will help stock Big Sam’s Closet for Broncos in need.

🦠 Bacteria Lab Day! 🧫🔬

Things got a little gross in the name of science! 😂 Students in Mrs. Williams’, Mrs. Thornton’s, and Mrs. Stubbs’ classes collected samples from different surfaces around campus and used them to investigate just how much bacteria may be hiding in the places we touch every day.

Now the hard part… waiting to see what grows! 👀🦠

Nothing beats hands-on science—and we have a feeling our students may never look at a door handle the same way again! 🧪😂
