🌟 Happy Ag Teacher Appreciation Day! 🌟

Today, we celebrate the incredible agriculture teachers who make a lasting impact on their students every single day.

At West Greene FFA, we are especially grateful for two outstanding teachers who have shaped our chapter:

🐢 Mr. Meadows (aka Turtle): Not only does he push students beyond their limits and inspire them to achieve more, but he also keeps everyone laughing with his humor (and sometimes questionable dad jokes). He’s truly one of a kind!

🌱 Mr. Short: Mr. Short is like a walking agriculture encyclopedia. Whether you need help diagnosing a plant issue, figuring out what you’re doing wrong in the shop, or needing some life advice, he’s your guy. Just don’t challenge him to a friendly debate unless you want to lose!

Today, our members had the incredible opportunity to attend both the Greenhand Conference for first-year members and the C**T Conference for chapter officers. They gained valuable leadership skills and advice from both regional and state Tennessee FFA officers. We are especially proud of one of our own, Weston Brown, who is serving as the East Tennessee Regional President. Weston led a workshop and shared his knowledge with members, making the experience even more impactful. We are truly grateful for this amazing opportunity!

On Thursday, five West Greene FFA students had the privilege of attending the 34th Annual Farm City Banquet. During the event, they had the incredible opportunity to meet and engage with Dr. Keith Carver, Vice Chancellor and Senior Vice President of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. We are truly grateful for this experience!

Employers want our agricultural education students! The training that our students receive through West Greene Ffa and all of our ag classes help them develop marketable and desired skills! Make sure your student is involved in our ag programs and has the same opportunities that Jordan and many others are now experiencing.
