This morning at West Greene Middle School, many gathered together in prayer for our students, faculty, staff, and families as we begin a brand-new school year.

A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Travis Chapman from First Christian Church for leading our Sunrise Prayer and covering our campus in faith, hope, and God’s blessings. We are so grateful for your time, encouragement, and servant’s heart.

We are believing for a year filled with learning, growth, kindness, and God’s protection over every classroom and every life that walks through our doors.

📚💙 What a wonderful Open House & Meet the Teacher Night at WGMS!

We had a great turnout and loved welcoming both familiar faces and new ones to our school family. Students had the opportunity to meet their teachers, get excited for the new school year, and visit our nurse station and dental hygiene booth.

Thank you to everyone who came out to make the evening such a success. We can’t wait to see what this school year has in store. Here’s to a fantastic year at WGMS! 💙💛

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our Buffalo family has lost one of our own.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the student’s family, friends, classmates, teachers, and everyone who has been touched by this heartbreaking loss. During this difficult time, we ask our school community to join us in lifting them up in prayer and surrounding them with love, compassion, and support.

Once a Buffalo, always a Buffalo. You will forever be a part of our herd and forever in our hearts. 💙💛🦬

If you have not yet completed your student's online registration for the 2026–2027 school year through Skyward Family Access, please do so as soon as possible.

The State of Tennessee is making updates to the Skyward system, and Skyward Family Access will be unavailable July 13–17. During that time, families will not be able to access or complete the registration process.

Completing your student's registration now will help ensure a smooth start to the new school year. Thank you for taking care of this as soon as possible!

WGMS School Supplies for 2026-2027

Registration:
Every single year you must complete the Returning Student online registration for the NEXT school year. This is for any student that will be attending WGMS next school year. If you are moving up from 5th grade you will complete this same process. This is a legal obligation for parents/guardians, and it is so very important. This allows you to update any changes to your student’s account. You can remove and/or add people to their approved pick-up list, update any medical changes, and a whole lot more! Each year we must regain your permission for your student to participate in all sorts of things. Luckily, the bulk of it will be imported for you. You just need to make any necessary changes and submit! The goal should always be to do this before the end of the current school year. So that would be by May 22, 2026!
