One of the coolest things I just did earlier today has happened! I created AMR Music Education, LLC not only to teach what I know about music and tuba performance, but also to give back to the community that helped me shape my career today! I have given away my first scholarship, The AMR Music Education Scholarship, to a student pursuing music education, and to become a huge influence is a blessing and I’m truly grateful to be an impactful person!

🎺 Why I Play B♭♭ and E♭ Tubas

Each tuba brings a different voice to the music — and that’s why I choose to play both B♭♭ and E♭ tubas.

The B♭♭ tuba gives me depth, weight, and stability. It anchors the ensemble, supports the harmony, and creates a foundation you can feel as much as you hear.

The E♭ tuba, on the other hand, offers clarity, flexibility, and color. It allows for agility, lyrical playing, and a more soloistic voice when the music calls for it.

Neither is “better” — they’re simply tools. Knowing when and why to use each one helps me serve the music at the highest level.

I’m excited to announce that I’m officially offering private lessons for middle school, high school, university students, and adult learners! Whether you’re just getting started or working toward advanced musical goals, I’m here to help you grow as a musician.

Lesson Rates:
🎶 Middle School – $55/hr
🎶 High School – $70/hr
🎶 University & Adults – $85/hr

Lessons are offered online, making it easy for anyone to join from anywhere. Each session is personalized to your skill level, musical interests, and long-term goals.

Hello everyone! My name is Aaron Reid. I am the CEO of AMR Music Education, LLC! This is a private lesson studio focused on low brass and the marching arts. I am an alumnus of Virginia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, and Shenandoah University with a Master’s Degree in Music Performance. I currently play with the Washington Commanders Marching Band, and have performed with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, Drumline Live, and the Kings Dominion Clown Band.
