University of Idaho Confucius Institute

The establishment of University of Idaho Confucius Institute (UICI) is part of the university strategy to reinforce its role as a leading research and teaching center in the world. Working with the University’s existing network of partners in the education, business and third sectors, the Confucius Institute will be a focus for promoting greater appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture and in supporting the increasing collaboration between Idaho and China. It aims to become a best possible Chinese teaching and learning center in the Northwest of the U.S. & a most distinctive CI in the world. UICI aims to achieve sustainable integration of Chinese language, culture and engagement into campus and regional community life. Confucius Institute Library:

The Confucius Institute Library is housed at the University of Idaho Administration Building room 328. The library is open to the public, providing cultural and academic resources for UI students, faculty, and the citizens of Moscow and surrounding communities. Resources include books on politics, economy, geography, philosophy, traditional health practices, and contemporary literature, as well as textbooks and reference materials in Chinese and English. The library also houses a variety of Chinese films on DVD, musical instruments, and other cultural items for viewing. Library Hours:
