Last day of school today! We hope you all have a wonderful summer. Students will be released at the usual time. Thank you to all the families who showed up for Gallery Night last night. Amidst all the expedition work and final products on display, were student works of art. Thanks to our art teachers, Lauren McCleary and Mary Lee for their wonderful work with students this year!

Last Saturday, our 3rd grade Crew took their final product soap and bookmarks and sold them at the Moscow Farmers Market. They really shined showing our crew traits as they met new people and told them all about our product and our school. A big thank you to our PPCS families, teachers, and the Moscow community for supporting us as we sold out of all of our products!

The 4th Grade Crew became teachers today, demonstrating their knowledge of the tribes of Idaho for the 2nd Grade Crew using explanatory charts they'd created. The 4th grade class spent the year engaged in answering the question “How was Idaho sculpted and shaped over time?” This started with a study of what shaped Idaho geographically and the stories of the landforms and physical shape of Idaho. This then allowed them to use a map to create a timeline of how Idaho was shaped culturally, socially, politically, and economically. Through studying westward expansion, the five tribes of Idaho, and the journey to statehood, students used maps to connect the physical shape of Idaho to the stories that make up the history of Idaho. For their final product, they've created a mural on the classroom wall for future crews to use as a tool to map out their learning about Idaho’s history.

Through the support of the Idaho Commission on the Arts Expanding Arts Access in Rural Public Schools grant, students in the Middle School put into action the schools' goal to continue beautifying the grounds while also meeting needs of the students. With the weather warming up they have started on a series of Sensory Murals in our playground area. We hope for students to continue adding more interactive painted elements each year. Thanks to art teacher and PPCS parent Lauren McCleary for making this opportunity possible!

It was a day of music at PPCS! Thanks to all the families who showed up for the Season of Broadway performance of K-5 students, with video excerpts of MS students. And a big thanks to the Moscow High School choir who performed for us during lunch hour. A surprise highlight was hearing the K-2 students sing for the HS students at lunch! It was so wonderful to welcome back four former PPCS students who are now HS choir members. We love visits from former students!
