Tonight's screening of 'The Lost City' features Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. Reclusive author Loretta Sage writes about exotic places in her popular adventure novels that feature a handsome cover model named Alan. While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta gets kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes she can lead him to an ancient city's lost treasure from her latest story. Determined to prove he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her.
Adaptive audio will be used during this film screening.

Synopsis:
In a world where the towns are peopled with cars, and even the bugs are mini motors, a young ambitious racing car called Lightning McQueen is a star. On his way to an important event, he has to stop in the little town of Radiator Springs after he accidentally damages the road and is forced to repair it. He finds living in a community oddly endearing, making true friends and beginning to realize there's more in life than winning.
Sponsored by the Department of Student Involvement and Vandal Entertainment, the family-friendly outdoor movies show at dusk on Thursdays, starting June 8 on the Theophilus Tower Lawn. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks from home. Seating opens at 7:30 p.m.
The lineup is subject to change. In the event of bad weather, Screen on the Green will be rescheduled for another date.
Theophilus Tower Lawn is located off Paradise Creek Street, between Line Street and Stadium Drive in Moscow. Free public parking is available in Gold lot 56 on the corner of Sixth and Rayburn Streets.

Synopsis:
Mischievous youngsters Spanky (Travis Tedford) and Buckwheat (Ross Elliot Bagley) lead an anti-girl organization, and they pick their buddy Alfalfa (Bug Hall) to represent them in an all-important soapbox car rally. When the boys then find their driver canoodling with schoolmate Darla (Brittany Ashton Holmes), they decide they must break up the couple. Unfortunately, while Spanky and his pals are busy meddling in Alfalfa's affairs, their prized race car is nabbed by two young toughs.

Congratulations to our very own Esports Coordinator, Wayne, on being awarded the honor of 2024 Director of the Season. Wayne has made a significant impact on 's program in its first formal year. His exceptional dedication and coordination have been crucial in both the front end, managing lab usage and events, and the back end, securing funding and improving lab quality. Wayne expanded the program to over 20 teams, earning respect from staff and players alike. He created a positive, competitive environment and has been instrumental in hosting major events. Wayneโs leadership extends beyond esports victories; he mentors students academically and professionally, fostering a supportive and inclusive community. His tireless efforts and strategic vision have laid a strong foundation for the future success of the program. Congrats!

Guy Wicks served the students of the University of Idaho for 34 years before retiring in 1965. Guy, along with his wife, Grace, were fixtures of the university community whose impact is still felt today. This award, one of the highest honors at the institution, recognizes senior students exhibiting outstanding success based on GPA, campus activities and service to the university in the spirit of Wicksโ legacy. Donald R. Theophilus was a member of the University of Idaho faculty for nearly 40 years and was university president from 1954-1965. This award is presented to graduating seniors who have an outstanding record of academic achievement and service to the university community. Students are selected from the top applicants of the Outstanding Seniors category. This award is among the highest distinctions the institution can bestow upon any student. Amara is a dedicated student and passionate campus community member. Amara has truly maximized every opportunity presented to them at the University of Idaho. They have maintained a 4.0 GPA and received the Vandal Pride scholarship. Additionally, they were awarded the prestigious Amie Kaisaki Komoto Sociology scholarship, awarded to Sociology students of good academic standing who show outstanding promise in the discipline. Amara displays incredible aptitude, dedication and promise for a successful career post-graduation. In addition to pursuing two baccalaureate degrees in Criminology and Sociology, Amara is also earning an Academic Certification in Equity & Justice through the Department of Culture, Society & Justice. Their exemplary academic record, combined with their broad and extensive engagement and commitment, are clear indicators of their outstanding leadership qualities.
