We had a great study tour and saw the Schiaparelli exhibit at the V&A in London and Cushendale Mills in Ireland. A few of us went to the Fashion and Textile Museum in London too.

Our seniors showed some amazing collections at the annual Senior Showcase at the UI Library! We capped off the showcase with a Grand Finale event Thursday night. Congratulations ATD Seniors!

Experimental construction students took on eight design challenges this semester; Pattern Magic, Pattern Magic Stretch, up-cycling, non-textile, zero-waste, Heritage project, alterations/repairs and their final project. Each project is meant to encourage creative problem solving, experimentation, project and time management. Can you identify an of the techniques from these awesome student designs?

Great article about Anna's research project!

Anna Price presented her 3D Body Scanning research at the UI Undergraduate Research Symposium today. Her research explores the discrepancies between body scans of humans and forms and their use in the digital patternmaking environment. Her research was funded by a USDA Multicultural Scholars Grant.

Senior Kenzie Eppey presented her work on the Reducing Clothing and Textile Waste project at the UI Undergraduate Research Symposium today. This project is a grant-funded project between Dr. Lori Wahl, ATD; Bridget Morrisroe and Melissa Hamilton, Idaho Extension; and Catherine Milner, City of Boise. Kenzie supported the project by assembling over 500 repair kits, creating the educational materials, and delivering workshops.

Congratulations to Aayushree Lama, selected as an Outstanding Junior/Valkyrie, and to Kenzie Eppey, selected as an Outstanding Senior at the University of Idaho Student Achievement Awards on April 10!

Two ATD students presenting at the UI Undergraduate Research Symposium on Monday, April 27. Kenzie Eppey and Anna Price will present their research posters explaining the results of their undergraduate research projects. The symposium is from 2:30-4:30pm in the Memorial Gym on the UI campus.
