"The trail’s gone cold, but I can’t shake the feeling that King Spud is out there, taunting us. We’ve had close calls, but no one’s cracked the code. Time is running out. Think you’ve got what it takes to put this case to bed? The briefcase is still locked tight, and the getaway car’s waiting. If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, now’s your moment. Help me close this file once and for all—before King Spud slips away forever."

"This is it. King Spud’s making his break. Word on the wire says King Spud is calling in the services of a getaway car, briefcase in hand and a glint of smug satisfaction on his face. This is our last chance. Track him and that briefcase down before he vanishes for good."

"I got word King Spud was seen casting off his disguise, right after slipping out of a faculty meeting. Has he been hiding among them this whole time? Teaching his lies to those unwitting students? We’re closer than ever. He’s getting bold. If we find that discarded disguise, we’ll be able to pick up his trail. Start looking closely at the faces around here... one of them might be our culprit in hiding."

"Now he’s mocking me. King Spud’s been spotted again, this time rifling through court documents like he’s above the law, swinging a wooden mallet around. A gavel? What’s he playing at? It’s like he wants me to see him. But there’s more. You smell that? Smoke... something’s burning. I don’t like it. He’s trying to cover his tracks, I can feel it. Quick! this might be our only chance!"

"Another lead just came through. King Spud’s been spotted again, this time, poking around the course readings. Looks like he’s trying to cover his tracks. The last anyone saw, he was making a quick exit, heading toward one of the classrooms. Must be hiding something. If you ask me, there’s a trail in those course materials. Follow it. Spud’s getting sloppy, but he won’t stay put for long."

"The tip came in late last night, one I couldn’t ignore. Rumor has it, King Spud was seen sneaking around the law school’s digital stacks, sipping coffee like he owned the place. Last spotted on the east side of the Idaho State Law Library, they say. Something about that east wing smells off... coffee and secrets. Start your search there. He’s always been sloppy with his tracks... if you know where to look."

"Dr. Robin Higgins was no fool. Agricultural Hagiography wasn’t just his passion; it was his obsession. He spent years chasing the legend of King Spud, a figure everyone else laughed off. But I’ve picked up where Higgins left off."
"King Spud isn’t just a myth, he’s real, and he’s adapted. Changed his name, his face. I can feel it. Some say I’m seeing ghosts, but I know the truth. He’s out there, hiding in plain sight, and I’m going to prove he’s still out there."

From October 7th - 18th, 2024, the College of Law will host the ABA traveling exhibit: 100 Years After the Indian Citizenship Act: The Continuing Struggle to Guarantee Voting Rights to Native Americans. It explores Native American voting rights long before the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, as well as how the act failed to ensure Native American participation in elections; the Act was neither the beginning nor the end of the struggle to gain voting rights for Native Americans. The exhibit spotlights tribal leaders and lesser known, yet extraordinary activists from all walks of life, highlighting the challenges and barriers to voting that Native Americans have faced for decades.
