Curious about what our staff and faculty are reading? Here's a suggestion from one of our staff members. You can find The Good Soldier Švejk and His Fortunes in the World War by Jaroslav Hašek on our third floor.

Jeremy Hixson recommends it because it's “a fun, satirical look at WWI and the Habsburg empire, just before its collapse, from a Czech POV. Švejk is either a guileless imbecile or a genius spreading chaos through feigned stupidity and, in either case, is a fun lens for reconsidering this time in history.”
