Thanks to the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) for hosting the Adventure Club at Laird Park. The children learned throughout the day, with topics including macroinvertebrates, birds, and native/nonnative plants. We also had a yummy cookout with hotdogs and smores.

Heather Huston Bell, PCEI Program Manager, is always a great collaborator!!!

Join us for a morning of birds, beauty, and discovery!

On Saturday,June 27th from 10:30am–noon, we’re excited to host a special Seasonal Wanderings adventure with our friends from the Palouse Audubon Society! Our Seasonal Wanderings events are geared toward families with children, but this one is also perfect for adults interested in birding.

Come explore the great outdoors on a guided bird walk, where we’ll learn to identify local species, listen for bird calls, and discover the fascinating lives of our feathered neighbors. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just curious about what’s chirping in your backyard, this is a perfect way to connect with nature.

What to expect:
• A relaxed, family-friendly bird walk
• Learning about local bird species and habitats
• Creative nature-inspired art activities
• Fun bird-themed games for all ages

Bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and your sense of wonder! Binoculars encouraged (we’ll have a few to share). Seasonal Wanderings is $15 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Please register at pcei.org/events/sw-birds.

Let’s wander, learn, and celebrate the season together. See you there!
