Dual credit is a program that allows high school students to enroll in college courses for credit prior to high school graduation.

College credits earned through dual credit can be applied toward high school and college graduation.

🌟Chloe Grieser!🌟

Chloe attends Genesee High School and takes ENGL 1101 for U of I Dual Credit.

After high school, Chloe wants to become an ultrasound technician by studying radiology and cross training into other fields!

"I really enjoy the freedom of the class and my teacher makes it fun. I enjoy the different writing styles we are using. Do all the dual credit courses you can, it's worth it."

Time for another student spotlight, where we shout out some of our awesome Dual Credit Vandals!

Our student spotlight for May is....

🎉Ethan Emmons!🎉

Ethan is a senior at Bishop Kelly High School in Boise, Idaho and is taking Human Geography through U of I Dual Credit.

Ethan competes on his high school Mountain Bike Team as well as the Ski Team. On top of his athletics, he runs a Freelance Videography company that videos weddings and advertisements.

"I plan to go to college and study PR and advertising, then I'd like to found my own PR and Advertising Firm that focuses on creating PR and advertising content for environmental organizations that are focused on making the world a better place."

⭐Tina Myers!⭐

Tina teaches English 1101, 1102, and 1175 at Emmett High School. When she's not teaching, she can be found with her family sharing home cooked meals and memories.

"I teach not only to educate but to create long-lasting relationships with my students as they navigate through the college and career experiences. Working and living in a small town, it is wonderfully satisfying to witness their successes."
