Delta Sigma Phi - University of Idaho Delta Sigma Phi - 1st Established in 1899, City College of New York. Founded at the University of Idaho in 1950

We are the Gamma Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. The characteristics of Delta Sigma Phi that separate us from every other chapter at the University of Idaho is our diversity, sensitivity and ability to combine social life with outstanding academics. When one rushes this house they will be astounded by the different features, backgrounds and diversity of any particular humorous fraternity stereotype that you can manifest from an outsiders perspective. On a more serious note, we possess responsibility, ambitiousness, and awareness in extra-curricular activities, philanthropies and charities, social issues and the maintenance of an outstanding cumulative grade point average. A Delta Sigma Phi considers all of these achievements to be minimal in comparison with our willingness to help one another in need on a personal level, respect women with aims to our bylaws to exemplify chivalry and to remain humble to others when showcasing our excellence. You might see a Delta Sigma Phi studying hard in the library for that midterm test, making a difference on days of service with our fellow Greeks, being the life of the party with nothing in mind but a good time for all or displaying our athleticism in intramurals. You might question our ability as to how we combined all of these eloquent qualities of personal character and commitment. The answer is our faith to dare to be great, to dare to put aside any personal criticism from others, to see the good in others in their hearts and not from their personal monetary backgrounds or minimal achievements and lack of mistakes. We pursue our dreams with the desire every year to rush all of those who we see the potential to mold into our society of leaders of integrity. Furthermore, as written in the Delta Sigma Phi Preamble: "And that the world may ever be convinced by the sincerity of our purpose."

Our Forever Dream Girls
One of Gamma Iota's oldest and best traditions has always been the wonderful women who have held this title since our first, Rae Reid of Kappa Kappa Gamma in 1951. In our archives we have many pictures of them over the years and in some instances, multiple Dream Girls are in a single image. Attached are several images we have recently discovered. Enjoy.
We are currently working on a scrapbook of all previous Dream Girls and are asking our alumni and friends of the chapter to help track down these special ladies that have contributed so much to our chapter over the years. Many we have connected with via Facebook or email. 40+ to date! We also are asking for any images of Dream Girls from their time on campus in your archives. Dear Delta Sigma Phi Community,

Founders’ Day holds a special place in our hearts as a day of reconnection and honoring the legacy of brotherhood. Today, I am proud to serve as an Ambassador for Delta Sigma Phi during the 10th annual Founders’ Day Challenge, a meaningful initiative close to our fraternity's mission of Building Better Men.

As we celebrate this Founders’ Day, our commitment to embodying the principles of our founding fathers remains unwavering. Delta Sigma Phi has experienced remarkable growth nationwide, witnessed significant advancements in Fraternity programming, and consistently evaluates ways to modernize the fraternity experience for men of high character.

I invite each one of you to join me in contributing to the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation, starting today and running until December 11. Your generosity will play a pivotal role in funding Delta Sig’s premier leadership programming, including events like LEAD WEEKEND and the Leadership Institute. By supporting these initiatives, we empower our undergraduates to evolve into the leaders of tomorrow.

Having personally experienced the profound impact of both LEAD WEEKEND and the Leadership Institute, I can attest to the transformative effect they have on individuals and our undergraduate members.
