Idaho Greek Life

Idaho Greek Life Good academics are not only encouraged in our community, there is also a built-in support system to help with classes, homework, and tests.

The Fraternity and Sorority Community at the University of Idaho has been a cornerstone of our university's legacy since the first chapter of a local fraternity was founded on our campus in 1903, just 14 years after the university was founded. Our chapters at the University of Idaho pride themselves on academic success, which they have displayed by keeping their grades above the all-campus average for over 10 years. Our chapter scholarship programs include tutoring programs, academic advising, study hours, success workshops, peer mentoring groups, and financial scholarship opportunities. In addition to academics, our fraternities and sororities actively support local, national, and international communities by working with those in need through participation in community service projects and philanthropies. Last year our community completed over 56,000 community service hours and raised over $41,000 for a variety of organizations including Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Cancer Society.
