Middle School Acts of Stewardship
A special thank you to our student volunteers for beginning some repairs in our Environmental Center.
With some assistance with a grant from the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority, our students started repairs to the bridges to make the center more easily accessible for all of our students.
On Tuesday, May 26th some of our students spent their afternoon repairing the handrails under the guidance of Mr. Jeffrey Hatala and community member Mr. Troy Walton.
This is the beginning of several repairs planned for the center which was designed and constructed by former science teacher, Mr. Matt Evans.
We are incredibly grateful and proud of the efforts of our students to maintain this beautiful resource.
Thank you to our Student Council for organizing this wonderful event and providing t-shirts, snacks, and water.
