🐰 Raise your hand if you have any plastic eggs at home. 🙋🏻♀️
🐰 If you’re like me, you save them from year to year and the colors don’t always match up the following year.
🐰. Let’s put those eggs to good use!
1️⃣: write uppercase letters on the tops of the eggs. Then write lowercase letters on the bottoms. (It helps if you mix and match colors to make it more challenging.) Have your child match letters.
2️⃣: Make works family eggs. Write a word family ending on the bottom (ex: -at, -ap, -ed, -it, etc). On the top half, write 5 or 6 consonants. When you spin the top half of the egg to match the bottom, you read the word.
3️⃣: Cut out small pictures or object to place inside the eggs. (Ex: hat, sun, chip, dog, ship, etc). Have your child crack open the egg and spell the word that matches the picture.
4️⃣: Place sight words in the eggs. Hide them around the house/yard. Once they’ve found the eggs, they read the words to you.
Enjoy!!!
