Earlier this month, we had a great group of students complete our fire and smoke damper technician training! 👏🔥

This is an important (and challenging!) class for sheet metal workers. The skills they gain help protect the general public from fires in the buildings where they live and work — and help protect the first responders who put their lives on the line during emergencies.

Our class included a mix of journeymen and apprentices who put in the hard work and successfully earned their certification. Congratulations to everyone who took this critical training!

Sparks are flying at Local 1! 🔥

Our apprentices have been busy sharpening their skills in GMAW (mig) welding and brazing. Last month, several students completed hands-on training and will earn American Welding Society certifications based on their work. These apprentices are well on their way to becoming top-tier sheet metal workers — keep it up! 💪
