The Morton High School SkillsUSA Chapter is in Atlanta for the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference! After the opening session last night, we’re ready to compete. We are proud to represent Morton High School with four competitions while building leadership, sharpening our skills, and making unforgettable memories.

Big things are happening for these outstanding students!

Today we celebrated a major milestone as they officially signed on as college interns with Caterpillar. Through their hard work in our Work-Based Learning program and the Caterpillar E4L program, they’ve turned classroom skills into real-world opportunities.

These three will begin their internships right after graduating high school; an incredible step toward their future careers in industry.

We’re proud of their dedication, growth, and commitment to excellence. This is exactly what career readiness looks like!

We are incredibly proud of our students’ performance at the SkillsUSA Illinois State Leadership & Skills Conference! 🎉

Our team earned an outstanding 9 podium finishes:

Big surprise in the shop today! 🔥

Representatives from Midwest Technical Institute stopped by our Dual Credit MIG Welding class to recognize Kian G with a $2,000 scholarship.

We’re proud to see hard work, skill development, and dedication pay off in a big way. Opportunities like this are exactly what career and technical education is all about: real pathways to a strong future.

Great day at the FFA Section 5 Ag Mech Contest!

Owen earned 🥇 1st place in Carpentry and Bode brought home 🥈 2nd place in Welding. The team also placed 8th overall.
