As we come together to celebrate Alumni Weekend, we’re also coming together to support our Laker community!

We’re asking alumni to bring canned goods and essential necessities to donate during Alumni Weekend, September 10–12. Every donation—big or small—can make a difference for members of our campus community.

🎒 Suggested donations include:
• Canned and nonperishable food
• Toiletries & personal care items
• Hygiene products
• Household necessities

💙 Come reconnect, celebrate, and give back to the Laker community that brought us together!

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Sekou, whose journey from Clayton State University to Atlanta United FC showcases the power of combining strategy, creativity, and passion.

As a Creative Strategist and Sports Marketer, Sekou develops integrated marketing campaigns, brand partnerships, retail launches, and fan experiences that connect supporters with one of Major League Soccer’s premier clubs. He credits his time at Clayton State with providing the strong foundation in business strategy, consumer behavior, and marketing that continues to guide his career.

We’re proud to celebrate Sekou’s accomplishments and the impact he’s making in the world of sports marketing.

Raioni Madison is a proud Clayton State University alumna and the Executive Director of 3D Girls, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to educating, empowering, and advocating for young women and girls. As a nontraditional student balancing work, motherhood, and college, Raioni found the support and mentorship she needed to succeed. She credits Dr. Karen Young with challenging her to think beyond herself and inspiring her to pursue a life of service and social change.

Just days after graduating from Clayton State with a Bachelor of Science degree, Raioni founded 3D Girls, Inc., which now serves more than 500 girls annually through leadership development, STEAM education, and advocacy. An award-winning nonprofit leader, she has secured more than $2 million in grant funding to expand opportunities for youth and continues to create meaningful change throughout Georgia.
