The World Cup may be over, but the football/soccer obsession doesn't have to end.

Each month we select library resources to spotlight on our Featured Resources guide. Check out this month's video selection in honor of the World Cup.

Through the streaming media collection Academic Video Online, provided by GALILEO, Clayton State users have access to over 80,000 videos on virtually any subject. This month we're highlighting the docu-series "Eleven."

This 5-part docuseries follows along as 11 young players from 11 nations unite through football in this 5-year journey. Their bond transcends culture, proving the sport’s power to connect and inspire across the world.

Clayton State Library would like to wish everyone a safe and joyful Fourth of July weekend! Whether you are gathering with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, attending a community event, or enjoying a favorite grill-side meal, we hope you find time to celebrate and create meaningful memories.

As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we reflect on the ideals that helped shape the nation, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This milestone offers an opportunity to honor our shared history while recognizing the many voices, experiences, and contributions that continue to strengthen our communities today.

As we celebrate, let us also embrace the values of freedom, respect, and belonging that help ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The Clayton State Library joins the nation today in celebrating Juneteenth.

Juneteenth, or Freedom Day is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This holiday is considered the longest running African-American holiday and has been called America's second Independence Day.

Today is National Creativity Day!

Today is a day to celebrate the artists in our life and take time to explore our own creativity.

Whether you consider yourself a painter, singer, musician, designer, dancer, filmmaker, or any other type of creator, this day is for you! But you don't have to be an artist to celebrate Creativity Day! We all possess the power of our imagination to observe the world around us and express ourselves in creative ways.

We at the Clayton State Library are taking today to celebrate everyone who has joined us at one of our Crafternoons and created something new of their own.

But creativity isn't just about the product. Our Crafternoon attendees report feelings of calm, peace, and decreased stress. Make sure you're following us here so you can join us next time!

Today we honor the U.S. military personnel who lost their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is commonly marked by parades and ceremonies and the decoration of fallen soldiers' graves with flags and flowers.

The association of poppies with the holiday began with a poem, "In Flanders Fields," by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, a Canadian poet, soldier, and physician who was moved by the sight of the bright-red flowers blooming across the fields which held the graves of many who had fought alongside him.

How do you commemorate the Memorial Day holiday?

When we return from the Memorial Day holiday, the Library will be transition to Summer Semester hours.

May 26 - July 27
Monday - Thursday: 8am - 8pm
Friday: 8am - 5pm
Saturday: CLOSED
Sunday 12pm - 8pm

Additionally, the Library will be CLOSED the following days:
Friday - Sunday, June 19 - 21
Friday - Sunday, July 3 - 5
