📚❤️ Our faithful Family Literacy of Georgia volunteers were hard at work picking up books following the wonderful book supply drive hosted by Truett’s Chick-fil-A – Stockbridge last week!

A heartfelt thank you to the Chick-fil-A team in Stockbridge on Hwy 138 for partnering with us in this important effort to fill our Little Free Libraries throughout Georgia with great children’s books 📖✨

And, of course, thank you to our amazing volunteers! You continue to show up, lend a hand, and help us make literacy a priority for families and children. We are so grateful for your time, your hearts, and your commitment to our mission.

Together, we’re building communities where every child has access to books and every family has the opportunity to make literacy part of everyday life. ❤️📚

Just finishing up at the community gathering with the Hand, Heart, + Soul Project in Clayton County. They distributed a great deal of fresh produce and we saw people walking away with bags and bags of free giveaways from vendors. We were happy to be there to support all that they’re doing.

TOMORROW, Friday, 8/28 is the last day to donate books @ Truett’s Chick-fil-A – Stockbridge and receive 1 FREE menu items for every 3 NEW or gently used books, up to 9 books (but feel free to bring MORE books). We want to get more culturally relevant books in the hands of our children and families.

Truett’s Chick-fil-Truett’s Chick-fil-A – Stockbridge is hosting a Book Drive to benefit Family Literacy of Georgia!

📍 3649 Highway 138 SE, Stockbridge, GA

Donate quality children’s books and receive FREE Chick-fil-A menu items while helping us fill 65+ Little Free Library® boxes supported by volunteer stewards across Georgia.

Our wish list features culturally relevant books that allow children to see themselves, their families, and the beautifully diverse world around them reflected in the stories they read. A few suggested titles include:

FLG was happy to support Young Dreamers International as they welcomed parents to Eggcellent Farmz in Henry County! The venue was absolutely amazing, and it was wonderful to see YDI creating such a positive experience for families.

Young Dreamers International is doing incredible work supporting young Black and Brown boys as they build confidence, character, and essential life skills. We were especially impressed by the young men who jumped right in to help us set up our tent. Their initiative, helpfulness, and willingness to serve were truly inspiring.
