Jacob and Team Jacob's Journey are so excited to participate in the Raleigh Run for Rare for the 3rd year in a row. This team was born after we receiving Jacob's diagnosis in March of 2020. His parents shared with us the following message!

"While this diagnosis is devastating, the community we have found within the society and with other families is unlike any other. While the virtual option has been amazing for our family and friends near and far, we cannot wait to connect in person this year!”

Even if you can't make it to Dorothea Dix Park for the Raleigh Run for Rare on March 26th, you can still run a Virtual 5K!

What is a Virtual 5K?
It is just like any other 5K, except there is no official race location. You get to choose where, with whom, and even how you want to complete the 5K. By participating virtually, you can run the 5K at any time leading up to March 26th. It can even be done in increments, just keep track of your distance until you hit the 5K.

By using and on your social media posts, we will be able to keep up with the fun!

Hi everyone!! Meet Team Kynzleigh! 👋

Kynzleigh, along with her family and friends, are registered as a team to take part in the VIRTUAL Run for Rare 5K on Saturday, March 26!

Kynzleigh was diagnosed with MPS I through newborn screening, and had a stem cell transplant at 6 months old. Her family loves to participate virtually to spread awareness about MPS in a fun way, and get one step closer to finding a cure.
