This is a student run page. We try to post information about upcoming projects and events with the Horticulture Dept. This group allows everyone in the Hort.

Dept. to ask questions and see what is happening within the Dept. The SUNY Morrisville Horticulture Program prepares students to begin satisfying and rewarding careers in Ornamental Horticulture, the Green Industry. The Horticulture Degree Program includes majors in landscape development, greenhouse production and floral design.

Last week the floral students practiced making bouquets for the first time and this week they’ll be making their first small arrangements for our first Floral Friday sale! (Fridays 1-3 at Spader). In addition, this week we’ll be selling lots of produce that may include jalapeños, poblanos, bell peppers, green onion, garlic, cucumbers, tomatoes, and more!

Welcome to SUNY Morrisville, Dr. Michelle A. Coach!

This week, the faculty and staff of the Horticulture Department were excited to meet our new president, Dr. Michelle Coach, the 9th President of SUNY Morrisville!

We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Mustang family and look forward to all that’s ahead. We hope to see you soon around the Spader Hall Greenhouse Complex! 🌱🌿

Reminder we’re having a sale this Thursday 9-12 and 2-4! (By the red barn on Eaton, south of Aquaculture) Lots of flowers and lots of cucumber. We’re hoping the rain won’t be too terrible but we’ll be out there either way! 💐

Snapdragons are in! We’ll be selling bouquets as well as single stems in a “make your own bouquet” type of way this Wednesday (2 days) by the pizzeria in town, 9-12. 💐
