Andrea Ramirez!!! πππ
Meet our Global Educator of the Year, a fourth-year Global teacher from Colombia π¨π΄ she teaches ESL and changes lives every single day.
Andrea recently earned her Master's degree in TESOL, because she never stops growing. She leads the Hispanic Heritage Club, spearheaded a Hispanic Heritage celebration for her entire county, and created an original ESL documentary called "Who Am I?", a powerful project where she and her students shared their stories and identities with the world. π¬π
She sits on the MTSS team making data-driven decisions to support ALL students, translates and supports Spanish-speaking families, coaches the girls' tennis team πΎ, chaperones college tours, and tutor's students after school. She doesn't just teach, she shows up in every way possible.

Say hello to Yadira, a third-year Global teacher from Honduras, she teaches 7th grade ELA. ππ³
Yadi is the definition of a community builder, she founded the Latina Glow Club at her school, giving students a space to shine. She mentors beginning teachers, translates the school newsletter, and bridges the gap between teachers and Spanish-speaking families every single day. π
And the results speak for themselves, her data-driven, reflective approach has helped her students meet and exceed expected growth on state tests. She also sponsors Hispanic Heritage Month and the International Week Parade, bringing culture and community to life at her school. π

We're kicking things off with our 3rd Place Winner, meet Kyna, a second-year Global teacher from Belize an elementary teacher. π§πΏ
Kyna has made an incredible impact in just two years, she was named Teacher of the Year at her school, serves on both the school improvement team and advisory board, and has been a transitional advisor for incoming teachers. She created a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration that brought the whole community together with food, dances, and performances. She also works tirelessly to translate and support Spanish-speaking families, making sure every family feels seen and heard. π
