30 years ago I built this model of a Covered Bridge in Bucks County, PA known as the Schofield Ford Bridge. The real bridge was destroyed by a fire in 1991, and the community rallied to raise the funds to rebuild the bridge in it's original form. I donated my time and efforts to build the model as a publicity and fundraising/awareness tool for the effort. I recently borrowed the model back so that I could do some maintenance work on it and took the time to take some good digital pictures of it which had not been done before. Here are some of those pics. After 30 years, the model still looks great, and I am very proud of it.

A project that I've been tinkering with for a while. I'm working on a 1/48 scale F-14D Tomcat, and I want to pose it in a landing configuration, just as it's touching down on the carrier deck. I'm trying to put some "fire" in the engines, and this is what I have so far, using LED lights. I think it looks pretty darn good.

I haven't posted here in quite some time, I think that maybe I ought to update this page. This page is a showcase to for my art, which is scale models. It is not directly related to my website RalphRatcliffeModels.com, though I will occasionally show models that are available there. I'll post some new content here, it's long overdue.

I just discovered this on Youtube, didn't remember doing this, but I appeared in this video. Fast forward to 1:21:00 and see a much younger me sportin' a 'stach and showing my 1/79 scale R/C submarine. The rest of the video has some cool and interesting stuff about the early days of radio controlled model submarines.
