Your well-being matters too. Caring for a child is beautiful, important work — and it's work. So here's your gentle reminder: rest is not a reward you have to earn. Take the walk. Drink the coffee while it's hot. You're doing better than you think

Our Executive Director, Meagan DeWitt, recently learned about the mental health benefits of knitting and crocheting. The repetitive, rhythmic motions can help encourage mindfulness, reduce stress, and create space to slow down. It sparked an idea...

🧶 What if we created something together?

We're launching the Crochet Collective, where community members can help create a collaborative blanket made from individual granny squares. Once it's complete, the blanket will be auctioned at our Annual Fundraiser to support NCVRC and the work we do!

Whether you've been crocheting for years or have never picked up a hook before, you're invited! We'll have yarn, hooks, patterns, and plenty of encouragement available.

Drop in anytime, make a square, or take supplies home and work at your own pace.

Every square is a reminder that meaningful things are built one stitch at a time... and that everyone has something to contribute 💚
