Senior faMilies, do you need help filling out your FAFSA? We will be hosting FAFSA Frenzy this Thursday 4-5:30pm in the East High Library.

You will need a student laptop and your 2024 tax information to complete the application. Remember that completing the FAFSA is a requirement for TN Promise or attending any higher institution.

Congratulations to Ashley Sadlon and Emma Faxon for receiving a Letter of Commendation for the National Merit Scholarship Program. These seniors are both being recognized for their scores on the PSAT last fall. They are among 34,000 students who have been commended. Congratulations, Ashley and Emma!

Congratulations to Dorian Carpenter for being selected as a 2026 National Merit Semifinalist! He was selected from a group of over one million juniors who took the PSAT last year. Dorian was nationally chosen for his academic excellence to advance to compete for the National Merit Scholarship. Approximately 16,000 Semifinalists have an opportunity to continue in the competition for over 6,000 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26
million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. We are so very proud of Dorian and wish him the best in the Finalist competition!

Please note that if a schedule has an error or if a student would like to request a change to their schedule, a schedule change request form must be completed. We are giving you the option of a paper form or a Google Form:

You can complete the form online or the paper copy will be available in the front office. Students must log in to their HCBOE account to access the form.

Requests must be made using the request form (online or paper copy). Email requests will not be accepted; students must fill out one of the forms provided.

Our counselors will work through requests in the order they are received. While we will do our best to meet as many request changes as possible, some courses are already full, and not all requests are possible due to other course conflicts.
