It’s International Dot Day! The book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds is a celebration of creativity, bravery, and individuality. Last week in Library Class, our Kindergarten and 1st grade students read the book and created their own dots with watercolor paint and paper plates. Now they are proudly displayed in the hallway! Our students are so uniquely creative!

We had SO much fun hanging out with our students and families at our Principals and Popsicles event yesterday afternoon! Almost 100 families joined us, and we were able to give away 3 scooters! We are looking forward to our next Patriots PALs event on September 22. More details to follow!

Join us at Principals and Popsicles for a sweet time with our LHES family! On August 25th at the large pavilion and playground at Fred Miller Park from 4:30 to 5:30, we will have fun planned for the whole family! Bring your bikes and scooters, play on the playground, enjoy popsicles, and meet your 26/27 principals, Mrs. Schaus and Mrs. Bri! Two scooters will be given away at this event, which is our first event hosted by Patriot PALs! We hope to see you there!

We are so thankful for a community that reaches out to bless our staff, especially during the busy back to school season! Thank you to Cherokee Heights Baptist Church for the basket of snacks last week and to Compassion Church for the doughnuts this morning! Our staff enjoyed these treats so much!

Color days start on Wednesday! This is such a fun way for our staff and students to help our Pre-K and Kindergarten students as they learn their colors. All students can participate as much as they would like! Don’t forget: this Friday is Picture Day, so on this day, we will dress our best instead of following a color theme.
