Our UB summer program 2026 is underway! This summer marks DCEA’s 30th UB summer program! Students from Hawkins, Grainger, Morgan, and Scott counties are taking classes in English, ACT Math, Ecology, Spanish, Debate, Intro. to Music Production, Criminal Justice, Human Biology, 1776 US History, and more!

Today, last but certainly not least, we are highlighting our final Senior Spotlight. Madison Cooper from Wartburg Central High School is planning a career in the nursing field. Congratulations, Madison, and good luck in the future!

Hello. Today's Senior Spotlight is Andrea Lovin from Grainger High School. Andrea has been part of Upward Bound since her freshman year and wants to study music in the future. Good luck, Andrea!

Due to weather concerns the date has been changed to Wednesday, May 20th 1030AM to 1PM……

Douglas-Cherokee will be hosting a Community Resources Fair on Thursday, May 21. Come and see us! We will have free diapers/wipes for pregnant mothers, free hotdog lunches to the first 150 people, Imagination Library, Head Start sign ups, many other communities resource booths, LIHEAP info, dental clinic info, ticket drawing for Knoxville Zoo, NASCAR Speedpark, and Wonderworks. Congratulations to UB's own Charlie Clinard, winner of the Rex Hitchcock Memorial Scholarship through One Bank of Tennessee! Charlie will receive $5,000 for one year. He is a student at Sunbright School. We are very proud of you, Charlie!
