Steuben Parade 2026 in NYC

On Saturday, our families, teachers, board members, and friends of the school marched along beautiful Fifth Avenue, celebrating German-American heritage and friendship! It was such a special event for our school community. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

We also proudly cheered on our two students who are this year’s Junior Princesses of the Miss German America Court - congratulations to the entire court! We hope you enjoyed this festive weekend as much as we did.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing German-American Steuben Parade Committee of Greater New York for organizing this wonderful celebration every year!

Spotlight on our PreK Classes!

Many families wonder whether learning a second language early on really makes sense - especially with so much conflicting information out there. The truth is: the early years are the best time to begin!
Before age seven, children acquire a second language almost exactly the way they learn their first - naturally, intuitively, and with remarkable ease. They build a strong foundation, develop native like pronunciation, and form friendships that grow with them through the years.

At GLSMC, our PreK students learn German through stories and songs, drawing and crafting, hands on activities, and joyful play. Real world language experiences make our school such a special place for young learners. 💛✨

Sign up today and give your child the gift of learning a second language - enjoy our Early Bird Special when registering by August 18: https://www.easyreg.org/cgi-bin/acct/YRVW5BT9FZ/signup.pl
