Frelinghuysen Middle School

The Sigma Zeta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. recently concluded its final Go To High School, Go To College program for the 2025–2026 school year. The young men were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and active participation throughout the program and were presented with certificates honoring their outstanding commitment and contributions.

Mr. Kersey, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., proudly serves as one of the program facilitators, helping to guide and mentor students as they prepare for their future.

Our incoming 8th grade peer leaders visited today for team building challenges, setting expectations, and preparing for their role as mentors next school year!

Our 8th graders had a blast in NYC to celebrate the end of the school year— lunch at Planet Hollywood, The Outsiders on Broadway, and dinner & dancing on the Spirit of NY. What a day! 🏙️

Shoutout to for including the FMS Flight Crew in their 250th Colonial Immersion Day celebration! 🇺🇸

8th grade students had a ball helping at various stations throughout the day. A special thank you to 8th grade Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Gross, for organizing and preparing the dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence and lantern crafts for the 4/5 classes.

We love seeing our 8th graders shine as mentors and leaders to their younger peers.✨ a day of fun and learning it was!

The FMS BATTLE OF THE GRADES 2026 CHAMPIONS: 6️⃣th Grade 🏅

Special shoutout to our team leaders, Student Council, and all participants for a fun filled week of teamwork, school spirit, and unity.

The week was anchored around spirit day themes, a hallway decorating competition, a hygiene kit drive, penny wars, and the culminating relay event where each grade level can earn points for their grade.

This year 6th grade took home the Falcon cup! Congratulations team 6GA! 🎉

The Zawadi Dance Group from Newark, New Jersey visited FMS 7th graders. Zawadi shares the beauty and energy of African culture through music, movement, and storytelling. Their dancers work hard to honor tradition while inspiring young people through creativity, teamwork, and expression. 🪘
