Dual Enrollment -- Distance Education Dual Enrollment offers qualified high school students the opportunity to receive college credit at a relatively low cost while they complete their secondary education.

Complete four dual enrollment classes (12 credit hours) with a 3.0 grade point average and earn a Walters State Promise scholarship of up to $1,000.

DUAL ENROLLMENT SPOTLIGHT: Meet Charissa Duncan. A homeschool senior, Charissa wasn’t absolutely sure that college was for her. She decided to try it early with an English composition class her junior year.

“I feel much more prepared for college after dual enrollment. I know college is more work, but I know can do college work. I was so nervous about that first class that I asked my mom and sister to walk me to my first classroom. When the professor, Ms. Anderson, started the class, my nervousness just melted away. Then, I got to know my classmates and the class was great.”

Charissa is now taking elementary Spanish through dual enrollment. She plans to study psychology and eventually become a counselor.
