Morristown-Hamblen High School West Welcomes Dr. Alvin Sanders, Jr. as Principal!

Morristown West is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Alvin Sanders, Jr. as the next principal of West High School.

For the past 20 years, Dr. Sanders has called West High his professional home, serving alongside dedicated teachers, staff, coaches, administrators, students, and families who make our school community exceptional. In his message to faculty and staff, he shared that his focus will be on supporting staff, building strong relationships, honoring West High’s traditions of excellence, and keeping students at the center of every decision.

Dr. Sanders believes that the greatest strength of West High is its people and looks forward to listening, learning, and working together as we continue moving our school forward.

Parents/guardians of students who are NEW to Hamblen County Schools may now complete online enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year.

✅ Use NEW Student Enrollment option at the link provided below if your child was NOT enrolled in a Hamblen County School between July 31, 2025, and May 22, 2026.

🔄 Students enrolled during that timeframe are considered Returning Students and should use the link provided here and use the Returning Student Enrollment process.

⚠️ Please complete this process as soon as possible. If you know a family with a new student, please help spread the word!

Families can pick up FREE bulk meal bags for anyone under the age of 18 at the following locations:

🕔 Pick-up Time: Tuesdays from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM

West High celebrated a phenomenal 2025-2026 school year thanks to the support and encouragement made possible through the UTrust commitment to supporting schools throughout Tennessee. Thanks to UTrust, students and teachers celebrated victories and achieved greater success while strengthening our school community.
