Trojan Talk for the week of Sept. 21-25

Hey Trojans! This week is important as we lead up to the big East vs. West Game! Now that we have completed the Humane Society Donation Drive and the HOSA Blood Drive, we have one more opportunity to beat East!
In school news, Thursday, Sept. 24 is Recycling Day, and teachers need to remember to leave their recycling in the hallways during second period.
If you're interested in one of Ms. Cobb’s EF Tours, which range across the globe, there is a meeting on Sept. 24 for those interested. Additionally, Sept. 22 is College Planning Night, when students in grades 10-12 can meet with representatives from several colleges across the region and watch a presentation on college information and opportunities afterward. This will take place from 5:15 to 6:30 that evening. There will also be a career and college fair at Carson-Newman University on Monday, Sept. 21, during the school day for seniors. Furthermore, those interested in claiming their direct admissions spot with TSAC need to meet with Mrs. Collins in the guidance office. There are also many community service projects available for students working on their TN Promise, such as working the Lions Club Tournament or helping with the Calvary Baptist Church Flowerbeds. More information on these community service projects is available in Google Classroom.
In sports, we need to remember that on Sept. 25 is the East vs. West Game. The Cross Country team has their Bristol Cross Meet on Sept. 26. The Golf Team has Districts at Patriot Hills on Monday, Sept. 21. The Lady Trojans Soccer Team has a game at Sevier County High School on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and a home game against Carter High School on Sept. 24. The Volleyball Team has a home game on Sept. 21 against Northview Academy, a home game on Sept. 22 against Cocke County, and a game at Volunteer High School on Sept. 24.
Remember to dress out for Sept. 25 and the East vs West Game! Also, as September comes to a close, remember to keep up with your grades. Now that we are seven weeks through school, it will only speed up from here!

¡Hola, Trojans! Esta semana es importante mientras nos preparamos para el gran partido East vs. West. Ahora que hemos terminado la campaña de donaciones para la Sociedad Humanitaria y la campaña de donación de sangre de HOSA, ¡tenemos una oportunidad más para vencer a East!
En noticias escolares, el jueves 24 de septiembre es el Día del Reciclaje. Los maestros deben recordar dejar los materiales de reciclaje en los pasillos durante el segundo período.
Si estás interesado en uno de los viajes de EF Tours de la Sra. Cobb, que ofrecen destinos alrededor del mundo, habrá una reunión el 24 de septiembre para quienes deseen obtener más información. Además, el 22 de septiembre será la Noche de Planificación Universitaria. Los estudiantes de los grados 10.º a 12.º podrán reunirse con representantes de varias universidades de la región y después asistir a una presentación sobre información y oportunidades universitarias. El evento se llevará a cabo de 5:15 a 6:30 p. m.
También habrá una feria de carreras y universidades en Carson-Newman University el lunes 21 de septiembre, durante el horario escolar, para los estudiantes de último año. El equipo de golf tendrá los torneos distritales en Patriot Hills el lunes 21 de septiembre. El equipo de fútbol femenino Lady Trojans jugará en Sevier County High School el martes 22 de septiembre y tendrá un partido en casa contra Carter High School el 24 de septiembre.
El equipo de voleibol tendrá un partido en casa contra Northview Academy el 21 de septiembre, otro partido en casa contra Cocke County el 22 de septiembre y jugará en Volunteer High School el 24 de septiembre.
¡Recuerden vestirse con espíritu escolar el 25 de septiembre para el partido East vs. West! Además, a medida que septiembre llega a su fin, recuerden mantenerse al día con sus calificaciones. Ya llevamos siete semanas de clases, ¡y de aquí en adelante el tiempo pasará aún más rápido!
