Precision’s Aluminum Alternating Tread Stair is an alternative to a traditional ships stair. These stairs allow the user to descend face-forward giving a clear view of the floor below. Precision Ladders’ aluminum Alternating Tread Stairs were designed with tubular siderails to provide
maximum structural integrity while keeping the overall stair weight to a minimum. As with all Precision’s products, these stairs are built to project conditions and shipped to the job site completely assembled ready for installation.
Precision also provides roof access from a building’s interior by combining an aluminum alternating tread stair with a roof hatch. Precision’s Alternating Tread Stairs are built to meet or exceed OSHA 1910 Subpart D.

Precision also provides roof access from a building’s interior by combining a roof hatch with a wall ladder (as pictured here), ships ladder, alternating tread ladder, industrial stair, or Super Simplex Disappearing Stairway. This image also has a safety pole attached.

The Super Simplex is Precision’s commercial-grade aluminum attic stairs. These are the most structurally superior folding stairway on the market today. Their primary use is attic access, but when fitted with a Precision roof hatch can be used for roof access.

Stringers are 5″ x 2″ x 3/16″ aluminum channel
Treads are 5-3/16′′ x 1-1/4′′ x 1/8′′ extruded channel with deeply
serrated surface to maximize traction
Handrails are 1-1/4″ schedule 40 pipe
Mill finish aluminum
Available in pitches from 60 degrees to 70 degrees
