I’m learning to sing the song of the redeemed.
“And I heard a voice from heaven like the sound of great waters and like the rumbling of mighty thunder; the voice I heard [seemed like the music] of harpists accompanying themselves on their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne [of God] and before the four living creatures and before the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin]. No one could learn [to sing] that song except the 144,000 who had been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from the earth.”

What do you do during distressing times when the water or power or cellular services go out? You pray, seek God, help your neighbors, and sing songs of deliverance! Let’s rejoice because none of this can reach our spirits. God is our hiding place and He protects us from trouble!!
“Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You [for forgiveness] in a time when You [are near and] may be found; Surely when the great waters [of trial and distressing times] overflow they will not reach [the spirit in] him. You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah.”
Psalms 32:6-7 AMP
“¶The Lord sat as King at the flood; Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.”

We are in a Kingdom (God’s) and subjects of the laws and rules of that Kingdom. The royal law = love.
I just know the power of the blood still prevails!
There is such a love so deep that you can’t mess it up.

It’s the last day of 2023.
We have worn it out.
It started out like this new year coming,
All fresh and bright and full of hopeful things
And we wore it out.
We cleaved to our past
And our things and our opinions
And held onto our relevance so often
We forgot to take up Yours.
We became twisted by culture
And formed by popularity
And we forgot to meet with You in
The secret place of Your presence.
And so we enter a new year again
Forged by grace
And simmering with Your goodness
Don’t let us stop here with shallow
Unnecessary things
Let us throw off the past
And the things that keep us
In a place of wallowing with pigs
And eating what doesn’t satisfy
Let us boldly pull our chair up to Your table
Where You’ve set a place for us
And we are drowning in holy things
Let us inhale the new as the old gets exhaled
And we enter into the canopy of the
Shadow of Your wings.
Hover over us
Cover us
Keep getting our attention
Let us not fall for the shiny things
The shallow
The things lacking courage
Let us boldly love
And loudly proclaim
The relevance of eternity
And the way the praises go on
Angels, men, and songs
And the throne is beckoning
The ones that give it all.
AMEN
