Morristown-Hamblen High School West Welcomes Dr. Alvin Sanders, Jr. as Principal!

Morristown West is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Alvin Sanders, Jr. as the next principal of West High School.

For the past 20 years, Dr. Sanders has called West High his professional home, serving alongside dedicated teachers, staff, coaches, administrators, students, and families who make our school community exceptional. In his message to faculty and staff, he shared that his focus will be on supporting staff, building strong relationships, honoring West High’s traditions of excellence, and keeping students at the center of every decision.

Dr. Sanders believes that the greatest strength of West High is its people and looks forward to listening, learning, and working together as we continue moving our school forward.

Senior Walk is tomorrow (Monday, May 18)! 🚌🎓 Buses will leave from the front of the school at 8:00am!

We still need ADULT (19 or older) volunteers for the Midnight Milestone Senior Graduation event at the mall next Friday! This is the first year an event like this has been held since 2019, but we can’t do it without adults who are willing to help. We don’t want to rely on Senior parents; they’ll have a lot going on that day! We hope to see Underclassmen parents step up and help now so they don’t have to when it’s their students’ turn. Seniors 🚨 Come celebrate together after Final Exams on your last Friday night as Trojans before Graduation! West High Seniors only for this one - park in the Senior lot and enter through the gate on the gym side of the building.

Exciting news: Yearbooks are here! Tomorrow, we will have a schedule change to include time for yearbook distribution and signing time. There will be no shuttle to East for 4th block (shuttle students will go to the Library). A limited supply of extra yearbooks will be available for sale in the cafeteria for $90, cash only. An announcement will be made when they are ready for purchase. Thank you, staff! We can’t wait to see how you captured this year’s memories!
