So, Let me reintroduce myself. I’m Stephanie Makris- I am first & foremost a dog mom to Maple 🍁 and Holly 😇, a mom-to-be to Baby M (arriving this August), I am a teacher turned tutor, I love coffee shops & restaurants , long walks outside, being home with my family — and just a few adventures mixed in! ✈️ .

Baby M’s little ears are just starting to hear! 👂🏼👂🏼💛 and as soon as I saw the book “Family” by I knew it was the first book I wanted Baby M to hear— about the sweet animal families around the world, the animal parents loving and protecting their babies and teaching them the way of the world.

I just know that when Baby M is here they’re going to love all animals, just like their mama and they’ll love the incredible illustrations and peak through flaps—just like their mama 💛

It’s wild to me that I can already start sharing my love of stories with this little one. ☺️ What stories did you share with your little ones that you think Baby M needs to hear?

Hi Everyone! My sister (pediatric speech therapist) and I are so excited to share we’ve developed a free Orton-Gillingham aligned reading class for early readers! Our class is called The Phonics Party!

We have a caregiver video, a welcome to our readers, and our first lesson ready to go. We will be releasing two lessons per week (Mondays & Wednesdays)! We would love for you to take a look and subscribe for updates and new lessons!

The Sour Apple is a beautifully illustrated rhyming book with a great lesson for littles!

Sour Apple thought he was going to be picked last or not picked at all. Sour Apple is left at the end of the season on the cold fall ground. He thought his time was over and really it was just beginning.
