This is a great rough and tumble heavily peated American single malt. Highly recommend it if you can find it around town. Also, I've seen it for sale for less than the article lists.

Tabula Rasa is pleased to announce its first "Whiskey 101" events at Vintage Brewing Company on Whitney Way Tuesday August 25th from 7:00 to 8:30.

Whiskey 101 is designed to provide an introduction to whiskey production, tasting, and appreciation. Enjoy 4 carefully selected whiskeys paired with a unique 4 course dinner menu from the comfort of a private dining room.

First Course, Wisconsin local J. Henry Bourbon paired with:
Orzo mac & cheese with seared duck breast and peach/apricot compote & bbq sauce

Second Course, High West Double Rye paired with:
Potato/ricotta dumpling with watercress sauce, salmon lox, almond crumble and arugula

Third Course, Bruichladdich Heavily Peated Scotch paired with:
Steak and broken egg with warm brussel sprout and bacon salad topped with bleu cheese

Dessert, Macallan 12 year Scotch paired with:
Pecan pie with caramelized pear and vanilla bean ice cream
