🎉 Yesterday, the final screw went into our stage at Found Space Theatre.
And somehow, that little screw feels like so much more than a screw.
It represents a dream that so many people believed in.
It represents late nights, hard work, sweat, generosity, prayers, and a whole lot of people saying, “Yes. These kids deserve a place to shine.” 💙💛
I am beyond grateful to Jonathan Vann and Jon Vann for the incredible amount of time, work, and love they have poured into building this stage over the last week. You didn’t just build a stage—you helped build a place where children will find their voices, discover their confidence, tell stories, make friends, and realize just how much they are capable of. 🥹🎭
We still have a few finishing touches to go—including some painting—but today we stopped for a moment to celebrate just how far we’ve come.
Thank you to Mr. Paul Oblad and Gedd Herron for sharing your time, talent, and skill to help bring this dream to life.
And to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who donated to this project… thank you. ❤️
You believed in this dream before there was even a stage to see.
In fact, this stage was completely funded before the first board was even cut. Let that sink in for a minute. 🥹
Because of you, kids who haven’t even stepped onto this stage yet will someday stand under these lights.
They’ll sing here.
They’ll laugh here.
They’ll forget their lines here. 😂
They’ll encourage one another here.
They’ll overcome fear here.
They’ll discover that their voice matters here.
And one day, we’ll look out into an audience and watch a child standing on this stage who never imagined they could do it.
THAT is what this stage means to us. 💙💛
We have some VERY excited students who can’t wait to start rehearsing on their new stage…
And I have a feeling there are going to be a whole lot of happy tears when that first performance finally happens. 🥹🎭
The final screw is in.
The stage is almost ready.
And soon… the stories will begin. 💙💛
