🍎 **Step by Step Child Care Center Is Hiring!** 🍎

We are currently hiring for two positions!

**KITCHEN STAFF**

**Hours:** Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
**Pay:** $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals and snacks, washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, organizing food and supplies, keeping all food-service areas clean and safe, and completing some light cleaning throughout the center.

Kitchen or food-service experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person!

**LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER**

**Hours:** Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
**Pay:** $18.25–$21.25 per hour, based on education and experience

Responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, supervising and caring for children, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, communicating with families, completing required classroom documentation, and working together with other staff members.

Early-childhood education and classroom experience are preferred.

**Requirements for both positions:**

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Dependable, organized, and able to work well with others
• Able to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the shift

Hello Step by Step Families,

We wanted to make you aware that we are currently experiencing a power outage at the center, and at this time, we are unsure when power will be restored. We are also experiencing some issues with our center alarm system.

We are asking that families please make arrangements to pick up their child(ren) as soon as possible.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this situation. The safety and well-being of our children and staff remain our top priority.

🎉🏆 We are so excited to finally celebrate some amazing news! 🏆🎉

About a month ago, we found out that **Step by Step Child Care Center Inc. in Morris was voted the 2026 Best Preschool in Grundy County!** 💛

This award means so much to us, and we know that it would not have been possible without our incredible staff. Every single day, our teachers and team members pour their hearts into caring for, teaching, encouraging, and supporting the children in our center. They show up with patience, creativity, kindness, and dedication, and they truly make Step by Step the special place that it is.

We wanted to make sure our staff knew just how appreciated they are, so we celebrated them with a lemonade bar, delicious snacks, and some fun Step by Step merchandise so they can proudly show off this amazing award!

To all of our families, friends, and community members who took the time to vote for us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic lead preschool teacher to join our team. While prior teaching experience is beneficial, coursework in Early Childhood Education is a requirement for this role.
